Let’s go Red Wings!

Last night I went to the Rochester Red Wings game.  If you don’t know who they are, they’re a Minor League Baseball team.  (I hadn’t heard of them until I moved here, but I’m also not necessarily the biggest sports fan in the world, although I do love me some Red Sox!)  It was a perfect night for a baseball game, although it did get a bit chilly once the sun went down.  It was nice to just sit outside, eat a hot dog, and drink a beer, especially since last night was the first non-rainy night since last Thursday.

Unfortunately the Red Wings didn’t win.  They lost 6 to 4.  The team they played was called “The Tide”.  It was a cool game to be at because The Tide is the farm team for the Baltimore Orioles, and one of the actual Orioles’ players was playing for The Tide last night.  We had great seats…we were about 6th row right next to the dugout and the tickets were only $12 a piece!

If you live in the Rochester area and have any interest in baseball, I suggest hitting up a Red Wings game some night.  It’s a perfect, cheap way to spend a night outside, eat some delicious bad for you food, and drink some beer.
